Watch the moment Keir Starmer drenched by rain leaving No10 for King’s Speech: ‘No better metaphor!’
Keir Starmer was drenched by rain and hail as he left No10 ahead of the King’s Speech.
The heavens opened as the Prime Minister left the famous black door, his wife beside him, without umbrellas, as they rushed to a ministerial car.
“My goodness me, it has just started a hailstorm here in Downing Street. Almost as soon as the Prime Minister stepped out of the door there,” GB News Deputy Political Editor Tom Harwood exclaimed, hastily putting up his own umbrella.
“If you're trying to think of metaphors for the storm that the Prime Minister faces, you cannot do much better than this.
“It was a similar torrential downpour when Rishi Sunak called the fateful 2024 election, and it feels like we're in a turbulent time,” he added.
