By ALYSSA GUZMAN, US NEWS REPORTER Published: 19:46, 7 April 2026 | Updated: 19:50, 7 April 2026 A Ukrainian woman has been identified as the final victim of a helicopter crash in Hawaii that also took the lives of a Massachusetts couple.  Oksana Pihol, 40, was named as the last victim on Monday by the Kauaʻi Police Department. Pihol, along with Patrick Haskell, 59, and Margaret Rimmler, 65, died after their helicopter crashed at Kalalau Beach on March 26 shortly before 4pm.  The trio was taking an aerial tour of Hawaii's northernmost island with a company called Airborne Aviation when the helicopter they were riding went down.  Dramatic footage captured the moments after the helicopter crashed into the ocean, showing it in the water as several people were being treated on the shoreline. A total of five passengers were on the aircraft. Two of them survived and were transported to Wilcox Medical Center to be treated for their injuries. Airborne Aviation released a statement offering its condolences and suspended its operations 'indefinitely' following the crash of its tour helicopter. Doug Froning, Airborne Aviation’s director of operations, said: 'It hits all of us to our core when something like this happens, all of us in the industry. Oksana Pihol, 40, was announced as the final victim on Monday by the Kaua'i Police Department. A total of five people where on the helicopter, but three of them died  The aircraft went down around 4pm on March 26  'Right now, we have suspended all operations for an indefinite period of time until we’re certain we can continue safely.' Froning added that the company will 'do all we can' to help the families of the victims. The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash. The Na Pali Coast, the stretch of beaches where the crash unfolded, is among the most sought-after routes for helicopter rides on Kauai, offering aerial views of steep mountain faces and pristine beaches. The coastline has also been the location of similar helicopter crashes in recent years, including a fatal July 2024 crash that killed a pilot and two passengers. Just months before in February 2024, another crash on the same coastline led to one injury. Haskell recently retired from his family-owned insurance company, and Rimmler had a long career in marketing. The couple lived in a beautiful, $1.2million home right by the beach. Haskell's company, Haskell Insurance Agency, released a statement that said the late husband's 'kindness and selfless nature impacted all who knew him.' Patrick Haskell, 59, and Margaret Rimmler, 65, of Massachusetts, also died in the crash Allison Baldwin, a friend of Rimmler who graduated high school with her, told Hawaii News Now: 'I was speaking with some of our high school friends that I’ve stayed in touch with over the years, and we’re all equally shocked and saddened and wish her family well.' Meanwhile, little is known about Pihol.  No comments have so far been submitted. Why not be the first to send us your thoughts, or debate this issue live on our message boards.
