Today’s world faces highest degree of conflicts — Russia’s senior diplomat

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. The world today is at its stage of the highest conflict intensity, but forceful methods will eventually demonstrate their inconsistency, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov told TASS. "We are definitely facing today the stage of the highest degree of conflicts, but the movement towards a multipolar world cannot be canceled," the Russian diplomat said in an interview with TASS. "I am sure that attempts to deny these historical patterns by force or any other intervention will eventually demonstrate their own inconsistency." "On the whole, today’s international relations system is under severe stress as a result of the subversive activities carried out by a number of governments regarding the international law," Ryabkov continued. "Currently, Washington is the most far-reaching example of how - following one's own ideas of what is right, what is wrong, what is good and what is bad - the basic, fundamental foundations of the international system can be defied," he added. The United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran on February 28. Major Iranian cities, including Tehran, were struck. The White House justified the attack by citing alleged missile and nuclear threats from Iran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced a retaliatory operation, targeting sites in Israel. US military bases in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE were also hit. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some other key Iranian leaders were killed in the joint US-Israeli attack.
