Sharif Rahman, a 44-year-old father-of-one, suffered fatal injuries after a confrontation outside his restaurant, The Curry House, in Owen Sound, Ontario, on August 17, 2023. His father, Robert Busby Evans, 49, and uncle, Barry Evans, 56, admitted being accessories after the fact to commit an indictable offence. The court heard the three men had ordered food and drinks before running up a bill of 145.43 Canadian dollars. While Evans Jr stepped outside for a cigarette, the other two diners left the restaurant without paying. Mr Rahman followed Evans Jr outside and demanded payment.
