An alternative episode of ‘Celebrity GBBO’ will go out in its place.” Mills was fired from the BBC last week after it emerged he had once been investigated over a historic sexual offense involving a teenage boy in 2017. No charges were brought and the investigation was dropped. Popular on Variety He was hired in 2025 to take over from Zoe Ball “The Big Breakfast Show” on Radio 1. The BBC confirmed after his firing that they had been aware of the investigation before he was hired but said “new information” had come to light that made his continued employment untenable. Among the celebrities taking part alongside Mills in the celebrity spin-off were JoJo Siwa, Sugababes singer Mutya Buena and actors Rose Ayling-Ellis and Ambika Mod, among others.
