The schedule of walks, talks and community gatherings has been arranged around National Armed Forces Day on Saturday, June 27 and the council's popular family fun day the following afternoon.
Councillor Paul Davis, the council's Cabinet Member for Strong Communities, Local Pride and Veterans, said: "Armed Forces Day is a moment of national pride.
He added: "We are delighted to once again bring people together to honour and celebrate those who serve and have served."
TRENDINGStoriesVideosYour SayThe guided walks are open to everyone and follow a gentle pace along flat, wheelchair-accessible paths, typically lasting 40-45 minutes.
Each session commences at midday and offers participants the chance to meet others with shared interests, discover local history and take time for quiet contemplation.
Following the walks, attendees can enjoy a relaxed afternoon tea, providing further opportunity for conversation and connection.
Mr Davis described the events as "gentle, welcoming and open to all".
He added that the afternoon tea creates "a relaxed space to reflect, connect and celebrate".
Booking in advance is encouraged, though participation remains free of charge.
The programme kicks off at Wellington Methodist Church on June 22.
A stroll around Bowring Park will be followed by a presentation from a former Royal Marines firefighter.

Newport Navy Club hosts a canal walk on June 24 featuring local veteran Mike Smith.
Historian Dave Shaw leads proceedings at the Christopher Turley Armed Forces Hub in Dawley on June 25.
The centrepiece arrives on Sunday, June 28, with the Armed Forces Family Fun Day at Broadoaks Playing Field in Donnington, running from 11am to 5pm with entertainment, activities and military displays suitable for all ages.
Further walks continue at Turreff Hall, The Anstice in Madeley, and The Wakes in Oakengates.
On Tuesday, June 23, the council's Armed Forces Outreach team will be stationed in Telford Town Centre from 9am to 6pm, providing guidance and information to serving personnel, veterans and their families.
Schools across the borough have been encouraged to participate through themed competitions, with primary pupils designing posters celebrating the armed forces and secondary students submitting creative writing pieces.
The winning poster will be transformed into a painting for display at the Christopher Turley Armed Forces Hub, while the top written entry will be framed and exhibited there.
In January 2026, the council reaffirmed its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant, pledging fair treatment and support for the military community.
