Despite feeling relieved that justice had finally been served, Jessica revealed she wept as the monster was escorted from the courtroom following sentencing at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.‌Jessica was just three-and-a-half years old when her father began abusing her. On one occasion she was taken into a room at a relative's home and sexually abused, before her father offered her money for sweets to buy her silence. She subsequently entered foster care at the age of four, before confronting Farrell about his actions years later. He lied, falsely claiming he had already served two years in prison for the abuse.In a deeply emotional interview on Virgin Media News, she told presenter Colette Fitzpatrick: "I confronted him and then I sort of forgave him. So I am a lot different than a few of them. I forgave him and I saw a different man then. Afterwards, it was like he changed.
