Alvaro Morata is the latest striker to appear on the Lazio radar, as he could arrive on loan from Como, after Mauro Icardi said no and Bamba Dieng failed a medical.
The Biancocelesti are seeking a new centre-forward, but are dealing with a very limited budget.

Icardi was the first choice, although the former Inter and Galatasaray star never really took them into consideration.
They had tried to sign free agent Dieng, until he failed a medical test due to a recurring knee injury, and the deal was abandoned.
Morata potential for Lazio loan

According to the Corriere dello Sport and Sport Mediaset, an approach has been made for Como veteran Morata.
The Spain international turns 34 in October and is remarkably well-travelled, playing for Real Madrid, Juventus, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Milan and Galatasaray.
He came to Como on loan in 2025, making it permanent a year later for €12m.
Lazio coach Gennaro Gattuso really wants Andrea Pinamonti from Sassuolo, but the only way that would work is for him to sign a new short-term contract at the Mapei Stadium, then move on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Lazio cannot currently afford to commit to any obligation to buy, which is why they had to reformulate the Davide Frattesi agreement with Inter.
