Türkiye'nin hikayesini politik söylemlerle değil üretimle, diplomasiyle, savunma kabiliyetiyle, enerji hamleleriyle, lojistik ağlarıyla, toplumsal dayanışmasıyla ve millet disipliniyle yazdığını belirten Bahçeli, Türkiye'nin dış politik anlayışının da barışı ve istikrarı önceleyen bir çizgiye sahip olduğunu dile getirdi. Türkiye'nin savaşların yayılmasını, krizlerin derinleşmesini, toplumların yerinden edilmesini, şehirlerin yıkılmasını ve bölgenin kalıcı istikrarsızlık alanına dönüşmesini istemeyeceğini vurgulayan Bahçeli, şunları kaydetti: "Türkiye, diplomasi kanallarını açık tutar, arabuluculuk imkanlarını değerlendirir, tarafların konuşabileceği zeminleri destekler, gerilimin düşürülmesi için yapıcı rol üstlenir. Ancak, barıştan yana durmak edilgenlik anlamı taşımaz, diplomasiye önem vermek başkalarının hesabına eklemlenmek manasına gelmez. Arabuluculuk herhangi bir küresel veya bölgesel projenin azası haline gelmek şeklinde yorumlanamaz. Türkiye kendi dış politikasını, kendi milli çıkarları, kendi güvenlik öncelikleri ve kendi stratejik çizgisi çerçevesinde yürütür. Hiçbir gücün bölgesel uzantısı olmayız, hiçbir ülkenin güvenlik kaygısının Türkiye'ye karşı bir mevziye dönüşmesine izin vermeyiz. Hiçbir ittifakın veya diplomatik girişimin Türkiye'nin meşru haklarını aşındırmasına rıza göstermeyiz. Türkiye, masaya kendi aklıyla oturur, kendi güvenliğini, kendi hukukunu ve kendi menfaatini göz ardı ederek görüntü siyaseti yapmaz." Barış siyasetinin yalnız iyi niyetle yürütülemeyeceğine, aynı zamanda güç, hazırlık, caydırıcılık ve sağlam iç cephe istediğine işaret eden Bahçeli, "Sahada gücü olmayanın masadaki sözü zayıflar. Ekonomisi dirençsiz olanın diplomatik hareket alanı daralır. İç cephesi kırılgan olanın dış politikada manevra kabiliyeti azalır. Türkiye'nin barış dili, güçlü devlet kapasitesiyle birlikte düşünülmelidir." diye konuştu. Türkiye'nin barıştan yana duruşunun, Doğu Akdeniz'de, Ege'de ve Kıbrıs'ta aleyhine gelişen "oldu bittilere" sessiz kalacağı anlamına gelmediğini de belirten Bahçeli, "'Yurtta sulh, cihanda sulh' mefkuresinin şekillendirdiği dış politikamız gereği Türkiye, gerilim arayan bir ülke olmamıştır. Fakat haklarını, güvenlik alanını, deniz yetki sahalarını, Kıbrıs Türkü'nün varlık hakkını ve Ege'deki denge hukukunu yok sayan her adım, karşısında kararlı bir Türkiye bulur." ifadesini kullandı. Fransa, Yunanistan, Güney Kıbrıs Rum yönetimi ve İsrail'in, Doğu Akdeniz'de kurmaya çalıştığı "güvenlik ve enerji" merkezli temasların dikkatle takip edilmesi gerektiğini kaydeden Bahçeli, sözlerini şöyle sürdürdü: "Her devlet kendi dış politikasını yürütür, kendi ittifaklarını kurar. Fakat bu ittifakların Türkiye'yi çevreleme, Kıbrıs Türkü'nü sıkıştırma, Ege'de mevcut dengeyi bozma veya Doğu Akdeniz'de Türkiye'ye rağmen fiili durum üretme amacına yönelmesi halinde buna kayıtsız kalmamız beklenemez. Fransa'nın bölgeye, tarihi komplekslerle, sömürgecilik döneminden kalma alışkanlıklarla ve anakronik güç tasavvurlarıyla bakması istikrar üretmez. Sayın Macron'un siyasi ölçeğini aşan Napolyonculuk hevesine kapılması, dost ve hatta çoğu zaman müttefik olan Türk ve Fransız milletleri arasındaki yüzyıllara sari kadim ilişkilere fayda sağlamaz. Fransa, Doğu Akdeniz'de Türkiye karşıtı dar hesapların aparatı haline gelirse bundan bölge barışı, Avrupa güvenliği ve Fransa'nın itibarı zarar görür. Şu hususun altını ehemmiyetle çiziyorum, Yunanistan'ın maksimalist taleplerle hareket etmesi hukuk üretmez. Güney Kıbrıs Rum Yönetimi'nin, adanın tamamı adına konuşma alışkanlığı meşruiyet üretmez. İsrail'in kendi güvenlik endişelerini Türkiye karşıtı bölgesel bir düşmanlığa dönüştürme arayışı kalıcı barış üretmez. Bölgeyi dar hesaplara göre yönlendirmeye çalışanlar, yalnız kendileri için değil, bütün bölge için yeni risk kapıları açarlar." Kıbrıs'ın yalnız müzakere başlığı veya diplomasi dosyası sayılamayacağını ifade eden Bahçeli, "Kıbrıs, Türkiye'nin güvenlik derinliği, Doğu Akdeniz'deki deniz yetki alanları, Kıbrıs Türkü'nün varlık hakkı ve Türk milletinin stratejik hafızasıdır. Kıbrıs'ta toprak alım satımı, yabancı mülkiyeti, stratejik bölgelerde taşınmaz yoğunlaşması ve ekonomik nüfuz üretme girişimleri sıradan ticari işlem gibi görülemez. Toprak, yalnız tapu kaydı sayılamaz, kimi zaman egemenlik hakkının belgesi, kimi zaman güvenlik teminatı, kimi zaman gelecek nesillerin hakkıdır." değerlendirmesinde bulundu. KKTC'nin demografik dengesi, mülkiyet yapısı, ekonomik bağımsızlığı ve güvenlik hassasiyetlerinin milli mesele görülmesini isteyen Bahçeli, Türkiye'nin, Kıbrıs Türkü'nün hakkını başkalarının insafına terk etmeyeceğini bildirdi. Başta KKTC'nin yöneticileri olmak üzere bütün soydaşlara bu konuda tarihi hafızanın gerektirdiği bilinç ve sorumlulukla hareket etme çağrısı yapan Bahçeli, şöyle devam etti: "Adada hala AB romantizmiyle oyalananlar, gözlerini Doğu Akdeniz'in doğu kıyılarına çevirmeli, Filistin'de ve Lübnan'da yaşananları ibretle okumalıdır. Devletsizliğin, sahipsizliğin ve garantisizliğin bir halka nelere mal olduğunu göreceklerdir. Kıbrıs Türkü'nün güvenliği, toprağı, egemenliği ve geleceği hiçbir hayale, hiçbir dış telkine, hiçbir diplomatik seraba emanet edilemez. Türkiye, KKTC'nin varlık hakkını koruyacak, Doğu Akdeniz'deki meşru çıkarlarını başkalarının onayına bağlamayacak, Ege'deki denge hukukunun aşındırılmasına müsaade etmeyecektir." Devlet Bahçeli, Türkiye'nin "ekonomik, kültürel ve teknolojik seferberliği" geciktirmemesi gerektiğini aktardı. Terörün tasfiye edildiği, güvenliğin kalıcı biçimde sağlandığı, şehirlerin ve kırsal alanların huzur iklimine kavuştuğu Türkiye'de kalkınma hamlesinin önündeki en büyük engellerden birinin ortadan kalkacağını belirten Bahçeli, Türk milliyetçileri olarak milletin bağrına saplanan hançerleri sökmek, devleti kesesine geçirilen prangalardan azat etmek, vatanın her karışında kardeşliği hakim kılma arzusunda olduklarını anlattı. "Yaraları deşmek yerine sarmayı, ayrılıkları derinleştirmek yerine birlik olmayı, inceldiği yerden koparmak yerine onarmayı mazimize karşı bir sorumluluk telakki ederiz" diyen Bahçeli, bu sorumluluğun bugünkü aşamasının, terörün her türlüsünün bu topraklardan ebediyen tasfiyesi olduğunu ifade etti. MHP'nin bu tarihi sorumluluğun arkasında sonuna kadar duracağını bildiren Bahçeli, şu görüşleri paylaştı: "Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi, şehitlerimizin aziz hatırasını incitmeden, gazilerimizin emanetini gölgelemeden bu yolda kararlılıkla yürüyecektir. Bu yürüyüşün adı 'Terörsüz Türkiye'dir. 'Terörsüz Türkiye' teslimiyet değildir, 'Terörsüz Türkiye' taviz değildir, 'Terörsüz Türkiye' terör örgütüyle pazarlık değildir, 'Terörsüz Türkiye' devleti zayıflatmak, milli iradeyi gevşetmek, aziz milletimizin kırmızı çizgilerini çiğnemek, hassasiyetlerini kurcalamak, güvenlik ilkelerini sulandırmak hiç değildir.
