Lancashire Police are appealing for witnessesNewsBen Haslam and Paige Ingram05:21, 06 Apr 2026View 2 ImagesThe M6 was shut for hours on Easter Friday (Image: PA)A man is fighting for his life after plunging from a motorway bridge and being struck by both a lorry and a car.‌Officers were called to junction 27 of the M6 at Charnock Richard at approximately 9.35pm on Friday, 3 April, following reports that a man had fallen from a bridge onto the southbound carriageway, where he was hit by a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) and then a Vauxhall Adam.‌The man was rushed to hospital, where he remained in a critical condition as of yesterday morning, 4 April. Both the HGV driver and the Vauxhall driver stopped at the scene.
