The Marks & Spencer Foodhall is a treasure trove of innovative treats: from it’s sell-out Dippy Egg Hot Cross Buns, to their sell-out cookies or Big Daddy chocolate bars.
One of its most popular offerings has to be its viral Cookie Cup range, first launched in June 2025 in three flavours – Raspberry & White Chocolate, Extremely Chocolatey, and Hazelnut Praline.
Since then, M&S has added several limited-edition options, much to fans’ delight, who call the deserts ‘bloody delicious’ and ‘filthy’.
Now, a new Cookie Cup has entered the chat: the S’mores Cookie Cup. And this time, there’s a twist.
Unlike previous M&S Cookie Cups, this one is designed to be heated up.
That’s right, it’s the Cookie Cup you know in love, but warm, gooey and full of melted-chocolate goodness.
People online have called it ‘banging’ and ‘delightful’ – which was enough to persuade us here at Metro HQ to give it a try.
So, we raced to M&S to get our hands on the ‘first ever Bake at Home’ Cookie Cup, to see if this is a major upgrade, or an ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ situation.
What’s in the ‘Bake at Home’ S’mores Cookie Cup?
The dessert features a milk chocolate chip cookie cup filled with dark and milk chocolate ganache.
It’s topped with chunky milk chocolate pieces, soft marshmallows and fudgy brownie, and needs 12 minutes in the oven, according to the retailer.
It’s priced from £3 and can be found in M&S Foodhalls nationwide, with fans already going wild online, saying they ‘need to try this’.
The S’mores is the latest in the Cookie Cup range, with the most recent offering from M&S the ‘Birthday Cake’ flavour.
Past iterations have included the Big Daddy, and a Gingerbread & White Chocolate one at Christmas.
What does Metro think of the new Cookie Cup?
I was very excited to try the new treat; anything chocolate is works for me, so sign me up.
After baking the goodie for an agonisingly long 12 minutes, I eagerly tucked in.
Once baked, it doesn’t quite look as Instagrammable as the previous flavours, but the proof is in the pudding, right?
The cookie cup shell itself, as a warm desert, meant that there was a softness to the casing, that, while still maintaining a crunch, you don’t get in the cold options.
The chocolate ganache was rich and smooth, and the chocolate pieces melted into the centre as soon as I cut into it, which was a rela treat.
Plus, the warm brownie brought a fudgy texture that really hit the spot.
So far, so good. But then came the marshmallow. While it was a welcome addition, it felt somewhat lost among all the chocolate and didn’t add much to the overall experience.
A generous helping of marshmallow would have gone a long way in bringing out that classic s’mores flavour.
This is definitely a dessert for serious chocolate lovers, with plenty of rich, comforting flavours in every bite.
And yes, the ready-to-bake twist ia real upgrade. While you do have to wait a little longer, it is warm and wonderfully gooey in the centre — making it completely worth it.
Overall, it was a decadent and enjoyable treat that delivered on the chocolate and cookie front.
Will you be trying the M&S S'mores Cookie Cup?

Absolutely, it sounds delicious!
-
No, it's not my kind of treat.
What else is new at M&S?
M&S has had a few new treats unveiled this summer, including for our four-legged friends. Announced today on their Instagram, the retailer revealed their new ‘premium’ dog and cat food range, Paws & Pals, out now in M&S Foodhalls. Because who says an M&S sweet treat should just be for humans?
The supermarket recently released its new Collection Single Origin Dark Chocolate with Mint, which left fans divided.
And fans of the Blond Chocolate and Pistachio Bar can now try a mini version of the snack, costing only £1.40.
If that’s not enough to get you salivating and running down to your local Foodhall, M&S also brought back their 80s St Michael chocolates last month, which fans called ‘delicious madness.’
