Haifa hit by Iranian missiles as Israel intensifies attacks
ALBAWBA - While Iranian strikes continue to affect Israeli cities, including Haifa, where injuries have been recorded, Israel has stepped up its air campaign against Iran, focusing on missile facilities.
According to the Israeli military, it conducted a number of airstrikes in central and western Iran with an emphasis on ballistic missile storage depots and launch locations. As part of continuous attempts to undermine Iran's military capability, dozens of targets were hit.
Additionally, officials said that, assuming additional political permission, plans are in place to perhaps extend operations to Iran's energy infrastructure.
Internal Iranian Damage
Although no injuries were verified, officials in southern Iran said that an attack hit a Red Crescent center in Bushehr, destroying cars and relief supplies.
Iranian Reaction to Missiles
Iran retaliated by launching more missile strikes on Israeli land, but many rockets were intercepted by air defense systems. However, damage to residential areas and infrastructure was recorded in a number of sites.
While debris from intercepted missiles also caused damage in other places, including Tel Aviv, an explosion connected to a missile attack in Haifa resulted in casualties.
Continuous Escalation
The escalating escalation between the two sides, with both military operations and retaliatory assaults growing in scope and ferocity, is highlighted by the ongoing exchange of strikes.
As both sides ponder striking other important assets, analysts caution that further escalation might have wider regional ramifications.
