Besiktas have raised their offer for Fares Ghedjemis and now sit ahead of AS Monaco financially, but the Frosinone winger’s own preference is understood to be a move to the Ligue 1 club.
According to transfer journalist Daniele Longo, Besiktas are offering Frosinone €14m plus €1m in bonuses.
The Algeria international is attracted by the opportunity in Istanbul, Longo reports, though he would rather join Monaco, who remain in the running.

Ghedjemis left out of Frosinone squad against Juventus
The figures do not tally with earlier reporting, with Sport Mediaset placing the Besiktas package at €11m plus €5m in bonuses, but both point the same way.
Frosinone had been holding out for €18-20m following promotion and have already turned down Celtic and Rangers.
The uncertainty cost Ghedjemis his place on Sunday, omitted from the matchday squad entirely for the Serie A opener against Juventus having started last week’s Coppa Italia tie.
“Ghedjemis is a little distracted by the market right now, so we preferred to leave him out,” director Renzo Castagnini told media.
“We’ll continue talking tomorrow, but it’s nothing extraordinary, this is the transfer market.”
