GB News Daily Reflection - Monday July 6th 2026

In today's GB News Daily Reflection, we remember that amid the pressures and expectations of modern life, Jesus Christ offers rest and acceptance to those who are weary.

Christianity is an invitation to come to God as you are rather than earning his approval through performance.

“We're constantly being told who we ought to be: a better parent, a better spouse, more successful, more productive, fitter, healthier. More interesting. Be this. Don't be that. Just do a little bit more of this. It is exhausting.

“We often carry these expectations like giant burdens on our backs.

“But into this world Jesus says, 'Come to me, all you who are tired and burdened, and I will give you rest’.

“Notice what he doesn't say, sort your life out first. He doesn't say, come back when you've got things together. He says, ‘Come as you are.’

“Christianity begins not with our performance, but with Christ's welcome. Come to me, he says, and I will give you rest. And perhaps that is the invitation that many of us need to hear today.”
