Free agent Bamba Dieng will have an in-depth medical exam with Lazio on Thursday, also linked with Middlesbrough, Hull City and Wrexham, claim multiple reports.
The 26-year-old Senegal international saw his contract with Lorient expire on June 30, having previously played for Angers and Olympique Marseille.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Fabrizio Romano, Alfredo Pedullà and more, a medical has been scheduled for Thursday in the Italian Capital.
These will be specifically focused on his knee, which has caused some concerns and is making Lazio pause before signing the player.
Dieng did participate in the 2026 World Cup with Senegal, playing seven minutes in the 3-1 defeat to France before their exit in the Round of 16.
While Andrea Pinamonti of Sassuolo would be the preferred reinforcement upfront for Gennaro Gattuso, Lazio have very limited resources, so have turned to the free agent instead.
Dieng has also been in talks with numerous other clubs this summer, including Middlesbrough, Hull City and Wrexham.
Lazio appear to have been the most persuasive, but so much depends on the results of tomorrow’s medical tests.
The Aquile have also made an offer to free agent Mauro Icardi after his contract with Galatasaray ran down.
