The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Mamoo Kanjan police station, where police registered an FIR based on the complaint of the deceased children’s mother. The accused, identified as Shah, got into an argument with his wife Asia and his sister-in-law over missing prayers. Enraged, the elderly man injured both women with an iron rod before turning on his grandsons, five-year-old Adeel and seven-year-old Nabeel. He struck both boys on the head, killing them instantly.
