England's World Cup quarter-final against Norway is at risk of delay due to a heat warning issued by the City of Miami.

Southern Florida is seeing temperatures rise to 32C, with it not expected to drop till at least 8pm.

FifPro, the global representative for professional footballers, advises that games should be delayed or postponed until the local temperature is at or below 28C.

The City of Miami issued a warning to people in the local area on social media.

Its message read: "Major Heat Risk is in effect across much of South Florida today.

"High temperatures and humidity can increase the risk of heat-related illness.

"Stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing, limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day, and spend time in air-conditioned spaces whenever possible. Stay informed."

Thomas Tuchel confirmed everyone except Jordan Henderson is available for tonight's contest.

The Three Lions will be back in their traditional all-white strip after Fifa's kit regulations forced a change in their previous outing.

Tuchel's side wore navy shorts alongside their white shirts during the dramatic 3-2 victory over Mexico, but supporters will once again see the Three Lions in their familiar all-white look at Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.

The switch has nothing to do with superstition and everything to do with Fifa's strict rules designed to prevent colour clashes between competing teams.

England's preferred kit for the tournament consists of a white shirt, white shorts and white socks.

They have worn the full combination against Croatia and DR Congo, while a red away strip was required for the group-stage clash with Panama.

They could not wear white shorts against Ghana or Mexico due to Fifa's equipment regulations.

Under Rule 6.2.1 of the FIFA Equipment Regulations, every individual item of clothing must clearly contrast with the corresponding item worn by the opposition.

Fifa's World Cup regulations also state that both teams should wear their first-choice kits wherever possible, although adjustments are made whenever colours are deemed too similar.

Against Mexico, the hosts were designated as the home side and therefore had first choice over their kit.

With Mexico opting for their traditional green shirts and white shorts, England could not also wear white shorts and instead switched to navy.

The same situation arose during the group-stage meeting with Ghana.

This time, however, Norway are listed as the home team but will wear a modified version of their home strip featuring red shirts with navy shorts, meaning England can return to their preferred kit.
