China denies reports it plans to send arms to Iran after Trump threat

China on Monday dismissed as “groundless” claims that it plans to send weapons to Iran, a day after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose staggering new tariffs if Beijing provides military support to Iran. "China always acts prudently and responsibly on the export of military products, and exercises strict control in accordance with China's laws and regulations on export control and due international obligations," said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun during a regular news conference in Beijing.
