Lecce will continue their legal battle after Lameck Banda breached his contract to sign for Al Swehly, but the Libyans mocked them in a bizarre, mistake-filled video.

The saga has dragged on for the whole summer, with Banda going AWOL from pre-season training, then trying to force through a transfer to Al Swehly.
Lecce had an option to extend his contract to June 2027, which was duly activated, but Banda insisted he was unaware and therefore that the agreement had no validity.
Banda legal battle will rage on

The Lega Serie A already blocked the move, but FIFA have given Al Swehly a temporary transfer while the investigation continues.
Lecce have already warned they will take the matter all the way to a tribunal, aiming to get Banda banned and Al Swehly sanctioned for breach of contract.
The Libyan club released a video today announcing Banda’s arrival, mocking Lecce with a supercut of the Italian media asking: ‘Where has he gone?’
They intercut this with a printer providing his registration in Libya, then his presentation.
Among the many problems, including that it’s hardly fair to mock a club they stole a player from, is that the clip at the start is not of Lecce, but rather of Lecco.
This is a town in Tuscany, a very long way from the Salento region where they were aiming for.
