vurgulayarak, "Fenerbahçe Spor Kulübünde uzun yıllar yöneticilik ve başkanlık yaptım. İyi ve kötü günlerimiz oldu. Büyük mücadeleleri birlikte verdik. Birçok engeli birlikte aştık. Fenerbahçe düşmanlarıyla birlikte mücadele ettik. İyisiyle kötüsüyle, acısıyla tatlısıyla, bütün ömrümü Fenerbahçe'ye verdim. Fenerbahçe'yi her şeyden çok sevdim ve her şeyden çok Fenerbahçe için mücadele ettim. Arkadaşlarımla birlikte şirketler kurduk, tesisler yaptık ve şampiyonluklar kazandırdık. Bunları yaparken bazı kırgınlıklar yaşamış olabiliriz. Şimdi bu kırgınlıkları onarmanın vakti geldi." ifadelerini kullandı.
