البيت الأبيض: تأجيل ضرب محطات الطاقة بإيران بعد محادثات بنّاءة

أعلن البيت الأبيض، الأربعاء، أن واشنطن أجلت الضربات المخطط لها على محطات الطاقة والبنية التحتية الإيرانية، عقب "محادثات بنّاءة" استمرت على مدى الأيام الثلاثة الماضية.

جاء ذلك في مؤتمر صحفي للمتحدثة باسم البيت الأبيض، كارولاين ليفيت، التي ردت خلاله على أسئلة الصحفيين حول التقارير المتعلقة بالمفاوضات مع إيران.

وأضافت ليفيت أن الرئيس الأمريكي، دونالد ترامب، يفضل التوصل إلى حل سلمي مع إيران، لكنه مستعد للتصعيد بشكل حاد إذا لم تتقبل طهران "واقع اللحظة الراهنة".

وأوضحت المتحدثة أن إدارة ترامب لا ترى ضرورة الحصول على تفويض من الكونغرس لتنفيذ ضربات ضد إيران، مشيرة إلى عدم وجود جدول زمني محدد لعبور أول ناقلة نفط من مضيق هرمز، رغم أن المسؤولين يعملون على تحقيق ذلك "بأسرع وقت ممكن".
