A mysterious 'Birdman' scatters birdseed on a street at 4am every morning... and neighbours are losing sleep over the noisy flocks

The culprit has been performing the act in Burwood, inner west Sydney, for two years and has been nicknamed 'Burwood Birdman'. Residents on the street have been left sleep deprived and angry as noisy birds swarm to the street for the feed.  The man's identity remains a mystery, with residents claiming he simply feeds the birds before disappearing. Louis, a local, told A Current Affair the man doesn't even wait around to watch the birds and leaves as soon as he has finished spreading their food. 'I'm always tired because I'm always being woken up every single morning,' another resident Adam said. Reporter Maggie Raworth managed to track down the birdman and confront him. Locals in Burwood have been left frustrated for two years by a mysterious man who feeds flocks of birds at 4am each morning 'Do you have any idea the drama you've caused for the residents here?' she said.  The Birdman ignored Ms Raworth's questions and continued scattering birdseed on the street before quietly walking away. In NSW, there is no law that makes it illegal to feed wild birds on private property. Authorities generally discourage the practice, especially when it creates a nuisance for neighbours.  A Burwood Council spokesman told Yahoo the council was aware of the issue and is working with police to investigate the ongoing complaints. 'Council is aware of the issue and can confirm the matter is being investigated by the appropriate authorities,' he said. 'Council has worked with police and affected residents. 'We will continue working with police and affected parties to explore lawful options to address the reported behaviour.' The 'Burwood Birdman' was confronted by a reporter over why he continues to wake residents with his early morning bird-feeding ritual While the investigation continues, residents have been left speculating about the Birdman’s motives.  'Whether there's a scorned lover in the building, maybe an ex-girlfriend or something that's cheated on him, or, you know, I think someone's paying him to do it,' neighbour Adam said.
