What we’re looking for in Startup Battlefield 2026, and how to apply in time for the May 27 deadline
Every year I read through thousands of Startup Battlefield applications. And every year, I see the same pattern: The founders who belong on this stage are often the ones who almost didn’t apply. Last week, after Google announced its huge overhaul to Search, I overheard a woman on the phone saying she was switching to DuckDuckGo because you can “opt out of using AI.” “Google just isn’t Google anymore,” she said. It seems that others had the same idea.

Initial benchmark results published by Phoronix today show that the NVIDIA Vera CPU meets this need. For this first public look, the benchmark scope was centered on the agentic workloads Vera was designed for in the modern data center. The Vera CPU delivers the throughput AI factories need while optimizing platform p...

Google Health is here, but a lot of people want their Fitbit app back instead

American Airlines said Tuesday it plans to install Starlink on more than 500 narrow-body Airbus aircraft beginning early next year, the latest carrier to pick the SpaceX unit for inflight Wi-Fi service. The deal provides more than just financial lift for Starlink, the satellite communications network and the only SpaceX business unit that generates meaningful revenue.
