2026•Güncelleme: 19 Ağustos 2026GÜMÜLCİNEYunan basınında yer alan haberlere göre, 65 yaşın altında, şiddetli baş ağrısı şikayetiyle Thiva Hastanesine başvuran bir kişinin, yapılan laboratuvar testleri sonucunda Batı Nil virüsüne yakalandığı belirlendi. Herhangi bir kronik rahatsızlığı bulunmayan hastanın sağlık durumunun iyi olduğu öğrenildi. Vakanın tespit edilmesinin ardından Orta Yunanistan Bölge Yönetimine bağlı ekipler, Thiva çevresinde sivrisineklere karşı acil ve hedefli ilaçlama çalışmaları başlattı. Bölgede yürütülen sivrisineklerle mücadele programı da günlük olarak sürdürülüyor. Yunanistan Ulusal Kamu Sağlığı Kurumu (EODY) verilerine göre ülkede yılbaşından 5 Ağustos'a kadar 65 vaka tespit edildi ve 65 yaşın üzerindeki 6 kişi hayatını kaybetti. Yunanistan'da geçen yıl ağustos ayına kadar 35 Batı Nil virüsü vakası kaydedilmişti. 2025 yılının tamamında ise vaka sayısı 96'ya yükselmiş, virüs nedeniyle 10 kişi yaşamını yitirmişti.
