Youtube Star Youssef Dalil Secures First MMA Victory
Rabat – Years after his viral video about jinn, Moroccan content creator and fighter Youssef Dalil earned his first amateur MMA win, a victory over Australian opponent Josh George at Future Fight League 2.
The fight took place on Saturday in Whitaker Center Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, as a part of an event featuring amateur MMA bouts. The three-round bout ended by decision in favor of Dalil. Despite the pressure of a debut appearance, Dalil delivered a great performance with solid strikes and control.
The event was the second one in the promotion’s history, making it a relatively new MMA organization.
This victory comes years after a video of Dalil as a child went viral in 2018 on social media, in which he tries to summoning jinn (spirits). Dalil’s fame shortly took off on YouTube, known for making humorous sketches.
The Moroccan athlete stated that beyond his presence on social media platforms like YouTube, he has long been practicing martial arts. He says he began training since childhood, earning a Taekwondo black belt at the young age of 13.
“Just secured my first Amateur MMA win, but there’s still plenty to improve on. The grind begins now. Next time, I’m aiming for a finish,” he said in an Instagram post.
With both fighters seeking to secure an early statement in their amateur careers, the fight was a tough challenge for both of them.
Dalil’s successful debut will mark a promising start for his MMA career.
