Both the rider and the passenger were wearing all black and balaclavas with no helmets. Staffordshire Police said the riders, who were aged around 16 to 17, did not stop after hitting the girl and rode off towards Stonydelph. Officers were called around 4.20pm alongside an air ambulance, which was pictured landing near a children's play park. A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: 'We are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Tamworth. 'We were called at 4.20pm to a footpath across a playing field near to Cambrian to reports that a black motorbike, with a rider and passenger, collided with a young girl who was on a pushbike at 4.10pm 'The girl, who has serious injuries, has been taken to hospital by ambulance.
