Worst of Met Gala: Cardi B arrives looking like a large intestine

ALBAWABA - As the 2026 Met Gala sets sail, celebrities took to the event with the most bizarre outfits, including famous American rapper Cardi B, who arrived looking like a large intestine. 

Similar to every year, one of the most prominent figures in music, film, and fashion attended the event. 

While some outfits appeared normal, several other celebrities arrived at the 2026 Met Gala with something you might see as your sleep paralysis demon at night, as part of the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Fashion is Art" dress code. 

A huge chunk of the internet took to several platforms to criticise the fashion event, bringing up issues like the US-Israeli war with Iran and Israel's ongoing aggression on Gaza and Lebanon. 

A social media user wrote, "I just don't understand. They must get paid a lot of money to wear those costumes. Gross."

Another added, "Wtf is even going on here? I’m embarrassed watching this."

One more outlined, "There's a literal genocide going on out there."

Famous American rapper Cardi B went viral on social media over her Marc Jacobs gown made from lace and satin. The outfit received mixed reactions from internet users, with many comparing it to a large intestine.

"She looks like Demi Moore at the end of 'The Substance'."

"This is nasty, why is she cosplaying hemorrhoids."

Creative director Jordan Roth also turned heads at the 2026 Met Gala for his creative outfit. However, many social media users deemed it creepy and unsettling. 

"The theme this year was “Fashion is Art”… but this just looks like a rejected horror movie prop."

"This is exactly how I feel when my 7 year old demands a piggyback ride, but he’s too heavy for me to do that now."

Celebrating "Costume Art" at the New York Metropolitan Museum of Art, US singer-songwriter Maria Zardoya arrived at the Met Gala with an outfit by "Matières Fécales," which means "Fecal Matter" in French. The singer arrived at the fashion event wearing a light pink dress while holding a doll that resembled her. 

"Is it Halloween yet? Guy i feel like I saw this look on Wednesday series." 

"lmfao i'm cryingggg, i can't take the name of the fashion house seriously. it means fecal matters in french."

Last but not least, also celebrating "Costume Art," German model Heidi Klum arrived at the fashion event dressed like a statue. 

"are we at heidiween lol? the commitment is insane, she took it literal! the face (especially the contact lenses) are giving halloween costume vibes though."
