Inquiries into the woman’s death are ongoing on behalf of the coroner, the spokesperson said.‌Qantas confirmed to local outlet Stuff that a passenger died during the flight. "Urgent assistance was provided by crew and doctors onboard but sadly they passed away," a spokesperson said. "In line with standard procedure, emergency services met the aircraft as part of the response."‌The spokesperson said the airline's thoughts are with the woman’s family and loved ones.Flight QF4 from New York to Sydney via Auckland is operated using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and is among the longest commercial flights in the world, with the first leg taking around 17 hours and the second a further three to four hours.Article continues belowThis is a Breaking News story.
