A short time later, officers received reports that the body of woman had been found on Neville Road in East Bowling, more than three miles away.Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. A 55-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has since been bailed pending further inquiries.A spokesperson for the force said: "From our enquiries we believe that the woman involved in the collision was carried by the vehicle to Neville Road. Police then received reports about a body being found at that location. A man aged 55 was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been bailed pending further enquiries."Det Insp Paul Conroy said: "This is an extremely upsetting incident involving an elderly pedestrian in Bradford. Our thoughts go out to the family who are being supported by specially trained officers."Article continues belowPolice are appealing for anyone who was in the Harrogate Road or Killinghall Road area, or who may have dashcam footage of the HGV or the pedestrian at the traffic lights, to come forward.Officers are especially keen to speak to the drivers of a red Ford Max, grey Skoda SUV, a silver Toyota and a white SUV, as well as anyone who saw the HGV travelling towards Neville Road.
