By SHANNON MCGUIGAN, NEWS REPORTER Published: 09:14, 27 May 2026 | Updated: 09:18, 27 May 2026 A heartbroken family have paid tribute to a 44-year-old woman who was found dead on an estate as a man is arrested on suspicion of murder.  Keeley Aspinall, known to friends as Kiki, was found dead by police at a flat in Tweedale Street, Rochdale at around 4pm on Monday amid welfare concerns.  Ms Aspinall was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Greater Manchester Police have since arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder.  The 44-year-old's grieving family have paid tribute to her in a statement which read:  'Gone too soon... we can't believe you are gone.  'We will always love you and miss you, love all your family xx.' A friend described Ms Aspinall as being 'like a sister' to her. She also told Manchester Evening News that she would 'always be in [her] heart'.  'She was the best friend anyone could ask for,' she said. 'I'm going to miss her so much, she will always be in my heart.' Officers remained at the estate until Monday afternoon, with the flat cordoned off at the Hartlebury block.   Police were seen carrying out door-to-door enquiries, while forensics investigators were also seen in attendance.  Keeley Aspinall, known to friends as Kiki, was found dead by police at a flat in Tweedale Street, Rochdale at around 4pm on Monday. Temporary Detective Chief Superintendent Jamie Daniels, from GMP's Major Incident Team, said on Monday: 'We appreciate this incident is likely to cause some distress amongst the public and local community.  'I would like to reassure you that we believe this to be an isolated incident, which does not pose any further risk to the wider public.' He added: 'We understand the severity of events such as this, and whilst we are in very early stages, our officers will work tirelessly to establish the full details of this tragic death.  'A scene will remain in place at this time, and there will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days. Thank you for your patience as our investigations continue.'
