Wolverhampton gig will complete my life, jokes Goldblum2 hours agoShareSaveAdd as preferred on GoogleCaroline GallBBC News, West MidlandsGetty ImagesJurassic Park legend Jeff Goldblum's UK tour starts next monthHollywood actor Jeff Goldblum said he is ready to embrace Wolverhampton when his band performs in the city next month.The Oscar-nominated director and Jurassic Park star is undertaking his first UK tour with his jazz band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra and will be at The Halls on 28 May.He joked that visiting the city would "complete my life" and that he would "give it a big embrace".Goldblum, who also starred in Wicked and Independence Day, will be playing the piano and singing as his latest album is released featuring collaborations with stars including Cynthia Erivo, Scarlett Johansson and Charlie Puth.Speaking to Trish Adudu on BBC Radio WM, he said he was really pleased with the artists he had worked with, adding that he was "lucky".Goldblum, whose career spans six decades, said he started playing piano as a young boy and "fell in love with it", keeping at it while acting.He formed the orchestra - named after a friend of his mother's - 30 years ago, playing contemporary arrangements of classic jazz and American Songbook standards.On performing in Wolverhampton, the actor - known for his wry sense of humour - said he could not wait to see it and would jump in with both feet."Wolverhampton is one of the great places on earth that I've never been... it will complete my life," he said.He will also be performing in Manchester, Glasgow and London in the UK.Goldblum, 73, is the latest big name stopping off in Wolverhampton during a UK tour.Hollywood giant Will Smith, Robbie Williams and Bob Dylan have all performed at The Halls since the venue's grand refurbishment concluded in 2023.Follow BBC Wolverhampton & Black Country on BBC Sounds, Facebook, X and Instagram.More on this storyJeff Gol...
