By WILKO MARTÍNEZ-CACHERO, US REPORTER Published: 05:05, 3 May 2026 | Updated: 05:13, 3 May 2026 A Wisconsin woman allegedly stabbed her longtime boyfriend to death after he brought food home to cook instead of taking her out to a bar. Mikayla Kloth, 27, is accused of killing Lukas Rosch, 25, in the Village of Lac La Belle, about 40 miles west of Milwaukee, at a Wisconsin Avenue home around 6.48pm on April 24. Kloth was interviewed by police and told them that she had not wanted Rosch to come over for dinner, according to Waukesha County District Attorney's Office prosecutors.  She acknowledged she had wanted to go out to a bar instead, per a criminal complaint cited by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Rosch allegedly went to the apartment anyway with chicken drumsticks and seasoning, planning to cook using the air fryer. Kloth claimed Rosch 'began pushing her buttons,' which caused an argument. The complaint alleged Kloth admitted to having stabbed Rosch and said it was 'cool' if they had to jail her. Kloth was charged with one count of first-degree intentional homicide and faces life in prison if convicted. Mikayla Kloth, 27, is accused of killing her longtime boyfriend Lukas Rosch, 25, after he brought food home to cook instead of taking her out to a bar Rosch allegedly went to the apartment with chicken drumsticks and seasoning before being fatally stabbed by his girlfriend Kloth told a police officer she stabbed Rosch because she was 'angry at him,' per the complaint. While being taken to the the Lac La Belle Police Department to be interviewed, she allegedly said she 'should have just gone to the bar.' She also referred to her predicament as 'just irritating.' The accused killer also told law enforcement that Rosch had been her boyfriend for about three years, though they did not live together. She alleged he had grabbed a knife and asked, 'Do you want me to cut myself?' Kloth claimed she tried to take the knife from her boyfriend and was asked by police how the weapon had gone through his chest without an apparent struggle. 'No, I did stab him,' she allegedly responded. Kloth claimed that her anger 'got the best of her' in what ended up as a fatal stabbing. Kloth's cash bond was set at $2 million after appearing in court for the first time on Monday Rosch was allegedly on the ground with a wound in the center of his chest when dispatchers first saw him As Kloth was taken to Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital for a consensual blood draw, she told officers that Rosch's parents would hate her now, if they did not already. When she was informed about Rosch's death, Kloth was allegedly nonplussed and said police needed to 'lock her up.' An autopsy determined Rosch had died from a single stab wound to the chest that entered his heart. Kloth was allegedly standing in her living room when police responded to a 911 dispatch from a female caller saying someone was bleeding out on the ground and that there was blood 'all over,' though not hers. Police was also told someone inside the home may have been attacked with a knife.  Officers saw Rosch was on the ground with a wound in the center of his chest as his building's landlord tried reviving him. As police performed CPR and asked who had stabbed Rosch, Kloth allegedly said, 'I did.' The fatal stabbing allegedly happened at a Wisconsin Ave home in the Village of Lac La Belle, about 40 miles west of Milwaukee, around 6.48pm on April 24 Rosch's family asked for privacy as they tried to 'process' the alleged homicide. 'We are completely broken at the tragic and senseless loss of our son, Lukas John Rosch, the most loving, giving, kind-hearted person anyone could ever meet,' the family told WISN. Kloth appeared in court for the first on Monday and her cash bond was set at $2 million. During the hearing, Rosch's father told the court that he was a 'shattered man.'  'Please never let that monster walk the streets ever again,' Matthew Rosch said. Kloth's preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 29, according to public Wisconsin Circuit Court records. She remained in Wakeusha County Jail as of Saturday night, per jail records.  The Daily Mail has reached out to the Waukesha County District Attorney's Office and the Wisconsin State Public Defenders Office, which is representing Kloth, for comment.
