NSW Police were called to Bankstown Central on Northern Terrace about 1.20pm on Wednesday after reports of an assault. 'On arrival, police were told two women allegedly stole from a business before assaulting a loss prevention officer,' a spokesperson said. Footage shared on social media showed two young women punching a male shopper outside the entrance to Myer. One of the women appeared to strike at the man before he swung a punch at her, tripped and fell to the ground. The second woman could be seen being restrained by another man. As the pair squared up to a security officer who had walked over from Myer, one woman could be heard yelling: 'You can't touch us.' A third man was filmed trying to avoid the affray as he walked towards a pram and moved it out of the way. However, when he passed the group, the women appeared to pull the pram away from him. They were both issued with field court attendance notices and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm while in company. The older woman was also charged with larceny and possessing a prescribed restricted substance. Both are due to appear before Bankstown Local Court on July 30. A spokesperson for Myer told the Daily Mail they were thankful for authorities' response to the confrontation outside the entrance. 'We're grateful for NSW Police and the Bankstown Central security team for their response in attending to an incident outside our store,' they said.
