Kolkata Knight Riders players wore black armbands during their match against Chennai Super Kings. This was to mourn the passing of former India cricketer C. D. Gopinath. Gopinath was a member of India's first-ever Test-winning team. He also contributed significantly to the country's early journey in international cricket. He represented India in eight Tests between 1951 and 1960.
