The Frenchman is understood to be among the club's midfield targets this summer. The Telegraph reports that Real could allow the 26-year-old to depart if they recruit a midfielder themselves. The 15-time European champions have been linked with Manchester City's Rodri, whom president Florentino Perez is believed to hold in high regard. Tchouameni wouldn't be the first player to swap the Bernabeu for Old Trafford. Raphael Varane made the move in 2021, having claimed 18 trophies during his decade in Spain. Tchouameni lifted the Champions League and Copa de Rey with Los Blancos in 2024, having arrived from Monaco in 2022. Having rejected United earlier in his career, Varane outlined why he believed it was the right moment to move to Old Trafford on The Bridge podcast with Tchouameni in March last year.
