‘We’re not afraid of war’ – Cuban president to RT (VIDEO)

Cuba is a peaceful nation, but it will use all means to defend itself in case of US aggression, the Caribbean country’s president, Miguel Diaz-Canel, has told RT.
US President Donald Trump imposed an oil blockade on Cuba in February, while also repeatedly hinting at a possible regime change operation against the socialist island, located 93 miles (150 km) from Florida’s coast. Trump said earlier this week that “we may stop by Cuba after we’re finished with this,” referring to the ongoing US-Israeli war on Iran.
Speaking to RT in Havana on Saturday, Diaz-Canel stressed that the country’s government has made national defense a “top priority” since the escalation of the US president’s threats.
Cuba is “not a country that is calling for war or promotes it, but we are also not afraid of war if we must wage it to defend our homeland,” he warned.

The US will face a tough battle if it decides to target the island as its defense strategy is based on the concept of “an all-people's war,” according to which the entire population is engaged in repelling an attack.
