Wayne Rooney accused Arsenal of over-celebrating after they reached only their second Champions League final in the club's history. The Gunners beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 in their semi-final second leg on Tuesday, as Bukayo Saka's first-goal proved the difference at the Emirates . Mikel Arteta and his players are now off to Budapest, and they were jumping for joy and celebrating with supporters at the Emirates after the final whistle. But Rooney wasn't a fan of the post-match scenes. The ex-Manchester United star told Prime Video Sport : "They deserve to be in this position but they haven't won it yet. I think the celebrations are a little bit too much. Celebrate when you win!" Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was of a similar opinion. "Over the two legs, there is no doubt that Arsenal were the better team," Wenger began on beIN Sport . Arsenal legend Ian Wright wanted to remind supporters that they can celebrate how they like, though. "Arsenal fans, let me tell you something: enjoy this," a jubilant Wright said in a video on X. "The celebration police will be out in force, do not get nicked! Enjoy yourselves, football's about moments and this is a big moment. Enjoy it. Will Arsenal win the Champions League? Arsenal also have the Premier League to focus on. The Gunners are five points clear of title rivals Manchester City , who have a game in hand. Arteta's side travel to West Ham on Sunday before games against Burnley and Crystal Palace to end the campaign. As for the Champions League, they'll face either Bayern Munich or Paris Saint-Germain in the final. The showpiece takes place at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary on Saturday, May 30.
