WATCH: Southampton MP despairs at 'gut wrenching' murder of Henry Nowak

Labour MP for Southampton Itchen Darren Paffey reflects on Vickrum Digwa being found guilty of murdering Henry Nowak.

He pays tribute to Mr Nowak's family and hopes today's verdict offers them some closure.

He told GB News: "On the day that the guilty verdict has been received, this comes most importantly, as hopefully some comfort to Henry's family. They've been through the most gut wrenching loss, and to finally know that actually the perpetrator is guilty, has been found guilty, and will be sentenced on Monday, is at least a step forward and hopefully some closure.

"But this is gut wrenching in how we can imagine that Henry lay there dying and yet had handcuffs put on him when there was very clearly no evidence he would have been bleeding all over the pavement. So we do need that investigation into how on earth this happened."
