WATCH: Sajid Javid warns that 'Britain's social fabric is fraying' as he launches new patriotic project
Former Chancellor of the Exchequer Sajid Javid discusses a new research project to discover the shared vision Britons have for the country.
Speaking to GB News, Mr Javid said: "One of the earliest memories I have is when I was seven years old. My mum dressed me and my brother up in red, white and blue and the late Queen's Silver Jubilee. I went to school and we had Union Jack flags everywhere.
"My mum and dad had put it up in their shop, and I felt so British and so patriotic, so proud of the country and that is something that stayed with me throughout.
"And so there can be lots of different things for people, but that's the whole point. We want to hear what people think, and that's what matters. It's the national conversation and everyone can take part. The more the better."
