WATCH: Andy Burnham victory marks 'beginning of the end' for 'divisive politics', Louise Haigh tells GB News
المصدر: GB News | Source: GB NewsLabour MP Louise Haigh says Andy Burnham's by-election victory in Makerfield signals "the beginning of the end" for "divisive politics".
Speaking to GB News, Ms Haigh said: "Andy's message throughout this campaign is that communities like this have been ignored for too long. He wants to change the way we do politics in Westminster in order to change the way the country is run.
"Andy Burnham, as the people of Makerfield have just shown, is the best possible way of representing hope and optimism to the country and of defeating Reform.
"Just six weeks ago, half of the people in this constituency voted for Reform, and last night Andy won nearly 55 per cent of the vote, a resounding victory, and I think the message is very clear from the people of Makerfield."
