ALBAWABA - Stars of the Turkish series "Kıskanmak" (Jealousy) have been under a lot of attention recently, especially after Hafsanur Sancaktutan tested positive for drugs after being called to the infamous investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.

Hafsanur Sancaktutan tested positive for drugs; however, she released a statement denying using drugs. She wrote on Instagram, "I have absolutely never seen or used the banned substance mentioned in the news throughout my life. I will request a repeat test from the official authorities of the Republic of Turkey. I am sure there has been a misunderstanding. I am ready to do whatever is necessary to prove this. I am very surprised and very upset."

After the drug scandal, rumors emerged on social media claiming that her "Kıskanmak" colleague, Selahattin Paşalı, is cheating on his wife with Hafsanur Sancaktutan. 

After Sancaktutan's positive drug results, allegations were made online that her partner in the series, Selahattin Paşalı, is having an affair with her, with people saying that his wife, Lara Paşalı, has filed for a divorce.

Was "Kıskanmak" series canceled over the cast's chaos?

A new episode of the famous Turkish series "Kıskanmak" was expected to be released on Tuesday, April 14. However, the show was withdrawn at the last moment, triggering questions about whether rumors emerging online were true.

According to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, the reason behind not airing Tuesday's episode was due to the failure in reaching the targeted advertising revenue for this week's episode, which led the channel management to skip the series.

However, it remains unclear how the alleged personal crisis involving lead stars Selahattin Paşalı and Hafsanur Sancaktutan will affect interest in the series.

On the other hand, Turkish actress Özgü Namal recently made statements that the series "Kıskanmak" could end, but thoughts to renew it are under discussion. 

When is the new episode of "Kıskanmak"?

It is worth noting that NOW TV has not made an official announcement to cancel the "Kıskanmak" series despite the crisis with the cast.

The show's new episode is expected to continue airing next Tuesday night. However, rumors of cast discord and low advertising revenue could lead to the finale being brought forward.
