Vile Hawaii Democratic candidate, 40, filmed hurling chair at man after being asked to stop blaring music from speaker on paradise beach

Political hopeful Kirill Basin, 40, was caught on camera fighting Kama Homan, 41, on Keawakapu Beach in Maui on Saturday after yelling and swearing at a group of bystanders.  Basin has been charged with two felonies for allegedly threatening Homan with a knife, according to a criminal complaint seen by the Daily Mail. A lawyer for Basin indicated in court on Tuesday that he intends to plead not guilty to two charges of making terroristic threats.  'These are just allegations. My client has a presumption of innocence,' Brandon Segal told the Wailuku courtroom. He also slammed Basin's $1 million bond for bail as 'outrageous'.  Maui Police said the beach altercation unfolded after a 61-year-old man approached Basin and asked him to turn his music down.  Basin responded by saying he had a firearm and would shoot the man's wife, according to police.  Footage of the moments after this argument showed Kama intervening by squaring up to Basin, who shoved him. Homan knocked Basin out at the end of the fight, as shown above  'I'm like, maybe I should intervene, and then as I got closer and closer, he was just getting more irate and violent and then saying stuff. 'I'm going to hurt you' or 'I can injure you' or 'You like scrap' to the aunties,' Kama told Hawaii News Now.  'He put his hands on me and as soon as he tried to shove me, I hit him with a left and a right and that's when he stumbled and fell over the chairs.' Basin is shown in a grab from the fight video Video shows Basin swing a deck chair at Kama, before the MMA-trained stranger knocked him unconscious with a swift hit.  Kama explained he planned to 'just block it and go for the KO - just protect myself, which is why I had my hand up and then I adjusted to block the chair.'  Maui Police said Basin also pulled out a knife and threatened several people with it, before tossing it into the ocean.  Kama described the weapon as a six-inch switchblade, which he said he retrieved from the shore and gave to officers.  'He ended up pulling the knife out on me after the altercation and that was obviously a game changer when I knew he was off,' Kama said.  However, Basin's lawyer disputed this. 'There's no evidence in any of these videos that have been circulated tremendously that he ever had a knife in his possession. He never had a firearm in his possession,' Segal said, according to Hawaii News Now.  Basin also squared up to several beachgoers in the moments before the fight, video shows  A lawyer the political hopeful indicated in court on Tuesday that he intends to plead not guilty to two charges of making terroristic threats. Basin is pictured in a photo from his Instagram  Basin was also hit with terroristic threat charges in May after he allegedly walked into a government building and pulled a firearm on two employees.  It is unclear why Basin allegedly entered the government building or who he threatened, however police said it followed a string of bizarre behavior from the congressional candidate. Two days before his arrest, Basin was escorted from a South Maui town hall meeting after allegedly getting into a hostile argument with Councilmember Tom Cook and his staff. Cook's executive assistant Jared Agtunong alleged that after Basin was hauled out of the town hall, he then confronted Agtunong in the parking lot and police were forced to intervene. Basin has denied all the allegations and filed a lawsuit saying he was wrongfully arrested over the town hall altercation.  The Daily Mail has contacted the political hopeful for comment on his latest arrest.
