ALBAWABA - Brazil recently witnessed a disturbing incident after a woman was found by authorities chained to a bed by her ex when "he refused to accept her breaking up with him."
According to Express UK, 24-year-old Emiliane Tamara Nunes Carvalho was rescued by police from a property after news of her disappearance circulated. The woman was allegedly held hostage for five days by her ex-partner. Carvalho was reported missing on August 17 when her parents noticed she did not return from a doctor's appointment.

Police revealed that she was tied up with ropes, chains, and handcuffed inside an apartment in Águas Lindas de Goiás. Reports also indicate that Carvalho was out of breath and trembling.
She added online, "I'm completely burned inside because he used to put acid-soaked cloths inside me. I ask for everyone's help and support to keep holding my hand so we can win this battle and stop him from hurting any more women."
Her ex-partner, identified as Ailton Rodrigues de Souza, was arrested by local police after they found a 9mm pistol, sedatives, and several other items.
According to the Daily Star, citing police, the suspect also confessed to drugging Carvalho with antidepressants and kidnapping her.
