The highest values are concentrated across East Anglia, the Home Counties and parts of the Midlands. Several locations are shown reaching 31C, while some areas peak at a scorching 32C. The maps come after the UK recorded its hottest May day on record last month, when temperatures soared to 33.5C at Heathrow on May 25. The scorching conditions also made it the hottest bank holiday Monday ever recorded.
