UK weather maps show 21C highs in just days as 5 counties set for heat blastNew weather maps suggests a warm spell will sweep across large parts of England and Wales within days, bringing the temperature up to a toasty 21C in five countiesNewsZahra Khaliq News Reporter23:05, 20 Apr 2026View 2 ImagesBrits could be enjoying 21C weather in a few days(Image: NEIL HALL/EPA/Shutterstock)Brits are set for a burst of spring heat, with temperatures climbing to a toasty 21C in just days, according to new weather maps.‌Forecast data from WXCharts, which uses MetDesk modelling, suggests a warm spell will sweep across parts of England and Wales by Saturday, April 25, with the highest temperatures focused across the south and Midlands.‌London is expected to be among the hottest spots, with highs of 21C forecast for the capital city, while nearby counties including Berkshire and Surrey also set to enjoy unusually warm conditions for April. Temperatures across much of the surrounding area - including parts of Kent, Crawley and Reading - are predicted to peak at around 20C.‌Further west, Worcestershire and the wider West Midlands are also in line for a warm afternoon, with highs of 21C and surrounding areas hovering at around 19C. More broadly, areas from roughly Leeds southwards - covering the Midlands, Wales, the South East and South West - are expected to see temperatures ranging between 17C and 21C, with many places sitting comfortably around the 18C to 19C mark.View 2 ImagesTemperatures could soon rise to 21C (Image: WXCharts)The picture will be different further north with cooler air set to linger across Scotland, where temperatures are forecast to stay between 7C and 9C in many areas. Parts of the Highlands - particularly around Dumfries and Galloway - could see warmer spells reaching up to 17C, while the Lake District may hit highs of around 16C.‌It comes as the Met Office hinted at "largely dry" and "sunny periods" as we enter the last few days of April....
