Fagnano, who grew up in Williamsport, Pa., began his college career at FCS Maine before transferring to UConn in 2023. In his first year with the Huskies, he played in just two games before a shoulder injury benched him for the rest of the season. In 2024, Fagnano played in 10 games, with six starts, and was named the offensive MVP of UConn’s 27-14 Fenway Bowl win over North Carolina. It was the program’s first bowl win since 2009. Due to his 2023 injury, Fagano was granted a hardship waiver by the NCAA, allowing him to return for his seventh college football season in 2025. As the Huskies’ full-time starter last year, Fagnano passed for 3,448 yards and 28 touchdowns and threw just one interception. There were 130 FBS quarterbacks last season with at least 210 dropbacks, but Fagnano was the only one to throw fewer than two interceptions. He turned 25 on March 31. Fagnano ranked No. 270 on Dane Brugler’s top 300 big board, and he was ranked as the 10th-best quarterback in the class. Here’s what Brugler had to say about him in his annual NFL Draft guide: “Fagnano is a fundamentally sound passer with fluid release velocity, although he will need to prove he can fit the ball into tighter windows at the next level.
