The Ministry said the extension follows a comprehensive review of market readiness and feedback from the business sector, highlighting the need for wider technical options and more competitive pricing.
It added that 32 service providers have already been approved, with several more in the final stages of accreditation, supporting the development of a more integrated and competitive digital ecosystem.
Support for local companies and partnerships
As part of broader reforms, the Ministry also introduced amendments allowing national companies to partner with international service providers under a white-label mechanism.
This move is aimed at facilitating knowledge transfer, strengthening local capabilities and delivering services aligned with UAE requirements, while accelerating digital transformation.

Despite the extension for provider appointments, the Ministry confirmed that mandatory implementation of the eInvoicing system remains unchanged, with full compliance required by January 1, 2027.
It reiterated its commitment to a stable regulatory framework that supports a smooth transition and enhances tax compliance efficiency across the UAE.
