Two UK doctors to testify in major US Covid vaccine probe

Two British medics attacked for their views on Covid jabs will address the US Senate today after being praised for their courage for speaking out.

Leading cardiologist Dr Aseem Malhotra and top cancer specialist Professor Angus Dauglish have both alleged serious vaccine harms, including links to cancer.

Former Health Secretary and Prime Minister Keir Starmer both criticised Dr Malhotra for his claims about the health risks of the Covid-19 jabs.

Now both doctors have been called to testify before one of America’s most powerful investigative bodies, the United States Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.

It is understood President Trump will be informed of the debate.

The hearing is being chaired by Senator Ron Johnson, the Republican senator for Wisconsin, who has become one of the most prominent critics of the Covid-era response and has repeatedly called for greater scrutiny of vaccine safety data.

Inviting the men, Senator Johnson will praise the "highly credentialed and experienced doctors" for their "courage to expose the truth".

The hearing, titled "Plausible Mechanisms of Covid-19 Injections Causing Cancer and Attacks on Scientific Publications", will examine claims and research concerning possible links between Covid vaccination and cancer, alongside allegations that scientists raising concerns faced censorship, professional retaliation and attacks on their reputations.

The committee has played a role in uncovering some of America’s biggest scandals, including corporate misconduct, organised crime, the tactics of the tobacco industry, financial fraud, and national security threats.

It scrutinised the collapse of energy giant Enron, whose accounting scandal wiped out billions of dollars and became one of the biggest corporate frauds in US history as well as the conduct of major Wall Street banks following the 2008 financial crash.

Recently, it has examined offshore tax avoidance, opioid manufacturers accused of fuelling America's addiction epidemic, and government failures during major national emergencies.

Its investigations have shaped political debate, influenced public policy and led to further inquiries as well as policy changes.

In a letter inviting Dr Malhotra to appear in person, Johnson said the committee wanted evidence about his "work studying the mechanism through which Covid-19 vaccines may cause cancer" and his "experiences with the peer review process in scientific publications".

The committee is also expected to hear claims that senior US regulators adopted surveillance methods that critics believe concealed serious adverse events.

According to prepared opening remarks, senators will be told that regulators "decided to use a safety surveillance algorithm they knew would - and did in fact - hide safety signals on extremely serious adverse events, including sudden death".

The hearing will also hear claims that drug companies spent billions of dollars on television advertising "to capture the narrative" and used lobbying and political influence to shape public policy.

Dr Malhotra, former NHS adviser and one of Britain's best-known doctors, will tell senators that initially he publicly encouraged uptake among high-risk groups and ethnic minority communities.

"As one of the UK's most trusted doctors, I was requested to appear on (television) Good Morning Britain to help tackle vaccine hesitancy amongst high-risk ethnic minority groups."

But he says the sudden death of his father, Dr Kailash Chand, honorary vice-president of the British Medical Association, transformed his views.

"My fit and healthy 73-year-old father, honorary vice president of the British Medical Association, who also happened to be my best friend and last surviving member of my immediate family, died after suffering an unexpected cardiac arrest."

Dr Malhotra argues that evidence published afterwards led him to conclude that Covid vaccination contributed to his father's death.

He says he later published peer-reviewed papers calling for a moratorium on mRNA Covid vaccines.

"The most damning evidence was a re-analysis of Pfizer and Moderna's original trials," he says.

"It determined a frequency of serious harm from the product that was two to four times more likely than being hospitalised with severe COVID."

He added: “Millions across the world may be in clear and present danger of suffering premature (heart) cardiovascular disease and cancer. Without allowing all scientists to debate this openly, without fear of censure, we will not be able to identify who is most at risk and how these risks can be mitigated."

The hearing will also hear from Professor Angus Dalgleish, professor emeritus of oncology at the University of London, principal of the Institute of Cancer Vaccines and Immunotherapy, and a pioneer of cancer immunotherapy and HIV research.

Prof Dalgleish says he began noticing what he believed were unusual cancer relapses and aggressive disease patterns among some patients following repeated Covid booster vaccinations.

"Beginning in late 2021, I observed a series of unexpected cancer relapses and unusually aggressive disease presentations among patients whose conditions had remained stable for years."

"A consistent pattern quickly became apparent: these relapses followed repeated Covid booster administration."

He says his concerns widened beyond relapses among cancer patients.

"I began observing something far more alarming: unusually aggressive cancers, advanced-stage disease in younger individuals, and clinical presentations that differed sharply from what we would normally expect in routine oncology practice."

Prof Dalgleish argues these observations deserve greater scrutiny.

"The consistency of these clinical observations, combined with emerging mechanistic evidence, should have prompted far greater scientific scrutiny and open investigation than they received."

He will also tell senators that scientists became increasingly reluctant to discuss potential concerns.

"Science does not advance through silence, suppression, or reputational protection. It advances through rigorous inquiry, transparent debate, independent replication, and the courage to follow evidence wherever it leads."

"I believe there is now an urgent need for an independent investigation into the potential relationship between repeated mRNA vaccination, immune dysregulation, and aggressive cancer progression, particularly in vulnerable populations."

The claims due to be presented at the hearing remain disputed by regulators, vaccine manufacturers and many scientists, who maintain that Covid vaccine side effects are rare and that the jabs prevented millions of hospitalisations and deaths worldwide.
