By JOE HUTCHISON, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 22:27, 5 May 2026 | Updated: 22:27, 5 May 2026 A man opened fire on five people in Texas on Tuesday, killing two of them, police in the state said. Seung Han Ho, 69, let off shots just before 10am at the K Towne Plaza in Carrollton after police said he met his victims for a business transaction.  'It was a known business relationship. We are still working through trying to identify his causes,' Carrollton Police Chief Roberto Arredondo said. After a short chase on foot, Ho was arrested 4 miles away at a grocery store, police said. The three others injured in the shooting are in a stable condition.  Carrollton, population 130,000, is 20 miles north of Dallas. More than 4,000 residents are of Korean descent, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. John Jun, a member of the local community, told the Associated Press: 'We're shocked. Seung Han Ho, 69, let off shots just before 10am at the K Towne Plaza in Carrollton after police said he met his victims for a business transaction After a short chase on foot, Ho was arrested 4 miles away at a grocery store, police said 'We're not immune to something like this happening, but we are very generally a peaceful community that works hard.' In the last 20 years, it has grown into a thriving Koreatown for the metro Dallas area, thanks to Korean investors.  It's anchored by big-box businesses like H Mart as well as dozens of restaurants serving everything from Korean fried chicken to shaved ice desserts. The city is also home to multiple Korean churches from Baptist to Presbyterian. This is a breaking news story.  No comments have so far been submitted.
