Two people feared dead after fire engulfs home in Queensland - with investigation to determine the cause underway

Emergency services were called to a house on Adelaide Street in Kingston, south of Brisbane, shortly after 3pm on Tuesday. Two people, a man and woman, were found dead inside the home. Four others managed to escape without injury. 'A crime scene has been declared as investigations into the cause of the fire are underway,' Queensland Police said in a statement. 'Anyone with relevant information or vision is urged to contact police.' Firefighters spent an hour bringing the inferno under control. Neighbour Tiffany Tinker told the ABC the entire home was engulfed within minutes. It was horrifying. Absolutely horrifying.' A temporary Public Safety Preservation Act advising people to stay indoors or avoid the area was revoked at 4.55pm.
